Christmas

Okay, I know it's March already but I have to get this done so I can move on to 2012.  Here's lots of pictures from our Christmas activities.

Christmas morning, waiting to see if Santa came.

I love Caleb's excitement.

D.C. temple with Judith and her family.  Jared taught Judith the gospel in Puerto Rico on his mission.  We felt very lucky and blessed they came to Virginia to celebrate Christmas with cousins and we were able to spend time them.

Catching up...starting with Thanksgiving

This was the first time I've made a turkey.  I think it looked beautiful but I probably could have taken it out earlier than I did.  I think I read different cooking temperatures for turkeys so I'm pretty sure I overcooked it a little bit but everyone seemed to eat turkey so I guess it wasn't too bad.

 My younger brother came out from Utah for a week and spent Thanksgiving with us.  We had so much fun with him.  My kids looooove him.
 Sam wanted to be like Uncle Geoff (he wears glasses) so Sam found these 3d glasses that came with an outside chalk set his friend gave to him for his birthday last year.  He wore them every day while Uncle Geoff was here and even for a few days after until he misplaced them.

 Dessert time.  We had way tooo much food.  But it was soo good.
 We were so excited to have family and good friends here for Thanksgiving.  We were so fortunate to get to know my cousin Keri and her husband Isaac for the months they were stationed out here and also her brother, Tyler for the short stint he was stationed here as well.  They are so amazing and I miss them already.

Fall pictures

My good friend (and an awesome photographer) took some pictures of the boys recently.  I love how they turned out.  She is amazing.  Thank you Debbie.  You can check them out here.

Thankful tree

We made this thankful tree for FHE tree last night.  I'm loving it.

Halloween

Our Halloween weekend consisted of:
 pumpkin painting;
 The kids love it and I love that there is less of a mess to clean up.

 Caleb's creation.

 Sam's creation.
 A trip to King's Dominion.  It was soo cold there was almost no one there.
 Sam got to drive on empty roads.
 Caleb sticky fingers.
 Sam was called up from the audience to help with Charlie Brown's show.

 and trick-or-treating, of course.  I forgot to take pictures on Halloween so I made dress back up so I could get this shot.  The cutest angry bird and pig ever (at least I think so).

Pumpkin patch

This fall we visited the pumpkin patch a few times.  We love it.

 Caleb is not a fan of hay.

 This little guy is just too cute.
 Kylee is one of our favorite little friends.  She is so beautiful.
 Our friends, the Staffords.

 My little cowboy!
 We love these guys too, the Gouglers.
 Cute cousins.

Sam is special!

Sam had to make a poster about what makes him special, a few weeks ago for preschool.  Here are some pictures we used.  Happy birthday to the sweetest five year old I know.

Sam...
loves to snowboard;
 loves his doggie (we had to throw Doggie a birthday party one day when Sam told us it was his birthday);
 loves Disneyland and his family (and even though you might not be able to tell from this picture he LOVES Mickey Mouse);
 wants to be a race car driver when he grows up (he also wants to be a doctor and a rock star);
 loves tubing and spending time with his cousins;
 loves to fish and is totally awesome at it;
 plays soccer (it is soooo much fun to watch him);
 has a few pets;
 is special!
