Afternoon at the beach

Life in southern CA is really tough, great weather and beaches 15 minutes away....

We spent the afternoon at Santa Monica beach with our friends the Shamos, the Okas and the Youngs. Sam discovered sand for the first time. He kept grabbing it and letting it pass through his little fingers.

Jared and Rick built a sandcastle for the babies to destroy. Sam was all over that.

Sam also spent some time trying to figure out what to do with the laces on his shorts. It was just a little too short to go into his mouth but I don't know he may have been trying to tie them.
After several hours at the beach Sam was ready to go home even if it was by bicycle.

Go Dodgers!!!

We went to the Dodgers vs. Giants game this past Wednesday with Jared's dental class. This was Sam's first sporting event so of course we had to outfit him with the local team apparel.
At the game we sat right behind center field. Our friends Bryan and Jackie caught a homerun ball hit by Barry Bonds.

Sam had a great time at his first Dodgers game even though the Dodgers didn't win.

Disneyland fever

One of our favorite things to do here in CA is go to Disneyland. Because we have annual passes it has become about one of the cheapest things to do around here. Sam has really started to warm up to it as well. His first time on Pirates of the Caribbean he cried the whole time (Sorry to anyone who may have had their pirates experience ruined by his crying.) but now he only makes the sad face occasionally. Here are some pictures of us outside the Winnie the Pooh ride, on the Jungle Cruise and watching the Disney parade.

Spring Break in San Diego

Mom and Geoff came down to visit us for a few days during Spring Break. We went to the San Diego zoo and had a blast. Sam loves being outside even if he wasn't that interested in the animals. We got some great pictures of Sam and some of the animals.

Baby gorilla is catching a ride on his mom's back to get down the steep terrain. This little guy was curious about the people behind the glass.

For those fans of Meerkat manor this one is for you. These animals really are cute.

We stopped by the San Diego temple on our way home to get some family pictures.

Recap

Well I think it's no secret that I'm terrible about keeping in touch and about sending pictures so here are some of my favorite pictures since Sam's birth.

Isn't he soooo cute. He's grown a lot since then but is still adorable. Here are some more pictures.

Sam has grown so much in the last six months. He just keeps getting cuter and cuter as you can tell from these pictures and I think now that I'm caught up with the last six months I can now, hopefully, keep up with his growth and our adventures here in Southern CA.
