Birthday.... who's birthday?

Sam came into my bedroom this morning and declared that it was doggie's birthday. He got his doggie from one of his sweet cousins, a couple years ago, for Christmas. He loves his doggie.... so we decided we needed to throw a party for him.

Sam and I made cupcakes and invited all of doggie's friends. Sam even made a card for him.
I love this kid too. He is a sweetheart.
We lit his candle and sang happy birthday.
Sam helped him blow out the candle.
Sam took doggie for a walk on his "new" collar and leash.
I love my Sam. He has the best imagination and is so sweet.

Playroom progress

Over New Years, we visited our good friends, the Wolfs. I really admired her large playroom and that she had her two boys sharing a room... so I decided to put Sam and Caleb in the same room and turn Sam's room into a playroom. They have been sharing a room since Monday and so far they are doing good. I started painting Sam's room a while ago and finally finished it up today. I still have to get some shelves and things put in there but I'm happy for now that it is finally usable as just a playroom. I'm excited for toys to stay in the playroom and not creep out of it....
The paint job is not perfect but I'm happy with the results and so is Sam.

My minions

The minions on Despicable Me are pretty cute but I would argue that these minions are even cuter!

Christmas Eve

We decorated cookies for Santa...

and ate a few.
Caleb was there too.
Next we got the reindeer food ready.... just a few extra sprinkles.
Sam tested the reindeer food on Rudolf.
Perfect!
Taking the reindeer food outside to spread on the driveway.
Spreading the reindeer food.
Reading a Christmas story next and giving Christmas jammies. I didn't take pictures of that. I should have. Note for next year.
After stockings were hung by the chimney with care and the kids were nestled all snug in their beds....
Santa came.
More pictures to come.

Thanksgiving 2010

Sam's preschool Thanksgiving performance.

Caleb wanted to perform too!

Thanksgiving in CT. We had so much fun and good food with our friends, from dental school, the Shamos and the Lees.
The food!

Everyone enjoying their food.
Caleb was definitely enjoying his food.
All the babies shared their food with each other. Here Caleb is sharing with Bethany and Issac. Don't worry Caleb stole his fair share of food. So cute.
Avery soda factory. There's a place in CT that lets you watch them make and bottle soda.
They had sooo many flavors. They were all so good. Thanks Shamos for introducing us to it.
Jared inspecting a bottle.
We were able to meet up with the Thomases as well. We went to the trolley museum and went on a trolley tour.
The old trolleys were all decorated for Christmas.

Sam and Wyatt played so well together the whole time. We hardly saw them other then meal times. I wish I had gotten a picture of them playing. I wish I had taken more pictures period. We had a blast and makes me want to see all our good friends more often. Thanks Shamos, Lees, and Thomases for a great time.

Caleb's walking!!!

I have a lot of catching up to do but I wanted to get this on there. I've never put a video clip on here before so hopefully it works.
Caleb took his first steps over Thanksgiving thanks to some peer pressure. He still wasn't that interested in walking until about last week. He prefers crawling for long distances but he will walk now. Yay! I'm glad he's been taking his time. I think it makes me feel like he's been a baby longer.

Random cuteness

We've been spending a lot of time indoors lately. It has been unusually cold in VA so the only time we spend outdoors is from the house to car and from the car to the stores (holiday shopping). Both kids are a little stir crazy and have been trying to find things to fill their time. Caleb plays in the cupboards and sneaks food.
Caleb is the only kid his age I know who will actually wear a hat. He loves them.
Sam has been trying to find as many uses for his rope as he possibly can. He found that it makes a good tow rope.
I don't know where he got the peace sign thing from. I thought it was pretty funny though.
