Lake Powell

Jared, Sam and I went to Lake Powell last weekend. Jared has been wanting to take me there for years since I had never been and Lake Powell is a fond part of his childhood. So, when we heard Jared's sister and family would be there we decided to invite ourselves along. I found the desert landscape beautifully set between the bright blue and blue water. Oh, yeah...check out Jared's sweet moves on the wake board.

Mine are pretty good too...I learned the last time I went wakeboarding with our friends Rick and Janae, that if I don't want a major headache from face planting to let go of the rope and I'm getting really good at staying inside the wake.
My goal was to jump the wake and I did it although we don't have a picture to prove it. I never actually landed it but the important thing is that I got air.
Our 7 yr old nephew, Max, took some tips from Jared on how to ski...

Don't forget about Sam...

He spent his time sleeping or in the arms of all his cousins. It was too bad he was teething the whole time. His second little bottom central incisor finally broke the surface the last night there. Poor little guy.

Thanks--Mike and Michele, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on The Rector Set or Sumertime (I'm not sure which one is the actual name.)

Nice moves Jen. Looks like a fun trip even if it was just for 2 days. I love LP.

I've never been to Lake Powell either. Isn't that crazy for a Utah native?! Oh well, it's on the to do list. Looks like you guys had a great time.

Ahhh....LOVE LP and I am so impressed. John tells me we will own a boat before we own a home. I can't wait!
